Is the Artwork on site framed?
None of the artwork offered on site comes framed. It’s best that you choose a frame that suits your own personal style and decor. Most of the non-custom work sold on site is printed on acid-free, archival paper that is cut to standard sizes (4x6; 5x7; 8x10), allowing you to purchase ready-made frames at your favorite retailer or art shop.
does artwork need to be matted?
Yes. Matting your original artwork or print keeps the ink and surface of the paper away from the glass.

What kind of events does Scribe new york do?
Scribe New York will make personal appearances at retail events, social gatherings, celebrations… anytime personalized or handwritten gifts are part of the program.
Are items returnable?
Customized items are not returnable.
How does hand lettering differ from printing?
Because hand-lettering takes so much time, it’s really a luxury gift. Anyone can use a printer! Also, as with any handmade item, you will notice elements about a hand-lettered piece that gives it character: maybe a tiny, telltale ink splatter, or slight differences between letters. These are indications that the work was done by hand and thus, more valuable than a computer print.
